5 Time Central Regional Crossfit Athlete
Jeff is the head coach of Broad Ripple Fit Club. He has trained high school and college athletes, FBI SWAT, police, firefighters, BUD/S candidates, National weightlifters, top level Crossfit athletes and people of all ages and fitness levels.
He’s been a competitive athlete all his life and continues to compete in the Crossfit Games, powerlifting, weightlifting, obstacle races, and anything that sounds like a fun challenge!
Having been involved with Crossfit since 2006, Jeff has seen the benefits in himself and others in both the physical adaptations and the improved self confidence.
Jeff believes it is important for everyone to utilize an effective training program and to receive the highest quality instruction and coaching in a positive training environment so they can overcome self-doubt and perceived limitations to achieve more than they thought possible.

4 time Central Regional Athlete
I graduated with an Exercise Science degree from Ball State University. I cheered at Ball State for four years, and after graduating I was looking for something that was challenging and fun.
I LOVE my job. I love getting to come to a job every day that makes a difference in people’s lives. Helping them feel confident and help them believe in themselves!Getting their first pull-up, their first box jump, brings so much joy to my heart!
I genuinely care for every one of our members and if I can make their day somehow, make them smile, that makes me happy. That’s what my job is all about. Everyone has a spot in our community, everyone is family and so supportive. I get to watch people come to life again. Smile again, walk around with confidence. Our head coach and owner, Jeff has built a community like none other. It’s great to work with such driven and knowledgeable co-workers that are so enthusiastic about their job. I feel so lucky to share my passion with
so many others.
I’ve been coaching at BRFC since 2012. I am a National level Olympic weightlifter, 2015 CrossFit Regional individual competitor, and 2013 & 2014 CrossFit Regional team member. I had little previous athletic experience and actually started training at BRFC in late 2011 shortly after finishing up treatment for thyroid cancer. I believe my story is a true testament to what training at BRFC can do. And the best part is, the physical health benefits of training are only a small portion of my experience here. The friends I have made are like family and it’s so rewarding to support and encourage each other every day as we go through workouts together.
My husband and I work full-time from home for a nonprofit organization, so our time at the gym every evening is so needed and refreshing after a long, quiet day at work. We refer to the gym as “our kind of social club” because we get in a great workout together and get to spend time with our friends. The members at BRFC truly make the gym what it is. Whether I’m coaching or getting in my own training, the positive atmosphere created by the people around me is what keeps me going.
We truly have a one-of-a-kind place and I cannot imagine my life without it!
I have been a coach here at Broad Ripple Fit Club for over a year now and have loved every second of it. Coming in everyday helping people reach certain goals or maintain health is something that pushes me everyday. Like our members, I have goals for myself and having support and guidance is important in reaching these goals. That’s why this gym isn’t just a gym, it’s a community and a damn good one at that.
Being around the gym atmosphere for the last 7+ years, it’s become true to the phrase “you learn something new everyday.” And even more so since I’ve been here. I could go on and on about accomplishments I have seen from members since being here. It’s a testament to everything from proper programming and great coaching to the individual putting in the time. What I believe is the driving factor for any one person to get better is be patient, be humble, and be hungry. That and you have to put up with my bad jokes from time to time.
“Both desire and imagination are stored in the mind of the individual and when stretched, both have the potential to position a person for greatness.”
CrossFit has helped me in many other ways than being just a hard workout. It has helped form very healthy habits with nutrition, basic everyday tasks, and functional movement. It’s also helped me form strong bonds with people who share the same love for the sport.
As a life long athlete who has participated in just about every sport either recreational or competitively it was a no-brainer to try BRFC once introduced in 2012. To say the least I fell fast and hard. I am not one of those people who casually participates so within just 3 short months I earned my certification and signed up to compete in the Open. I have competed in every open since starting BRFC even while being 7 1/2 months pregnant!
My background allows me to bring a unique perspective to coaching at BRFC. I am the oldest coach in our gym and a new mom. I have a full time career and had an ACL replacement. I feel I can relate to every athlete in our gym. I love helping people discover and empower their inner athlete.
