CFBR, Training and Pregnancy – From Janna

Janna has been a member with us a little over a year. She wrote us the nicest email and we wanted to share it with you!


I can’t tell you how much I appreciate Crossfit Broad Ripple.  Crossfit helped me tremendously during my pregnancy and helped me get through the 28 hours of labor.  When I told people I was doing Crossfit while I was pregnant a lot of people looked at me like I was crazy or doing something bad for my child.   If fact, my doctor encouraged me to continue Crossfit since it was part of my current workout routine.  With multiple previous miscarriages, I was hesitant to continue while I was pregnant but so glad I did. There’s not a doubt in my mind that Crossfit helped me maintain a reasonable and appropriate pregnancy weight gain and the accountability was exactly what I needed (I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to use the “I’m pregnant” excuse to press snooze on that 5:15 alarm!).  Thanks again!”
