Indianapolis Adventure Race

Is anyone interested in competing in the Indianapolis Adventure Race on September 10th? It is a race which includes mountain biking, canoeing, trail running/hiking, orienteering/navigation, rope work and “surprise mystery” events.

The race will take between 5 and 10 hours to complete. Put your training to the test.

To compete we need mountain bikes, helmets, gloves and a few other random bits. If you are missing some necessary gear, don’t let it stop you if you are interested. I am sure we can find the necessary equipment.

I would really like to field a team or two from CrossFit Broad Ripple. Details are here: http://www.indyar.com/race_info_2011.shtm

George will be heading up the teams, so we’ll need two or five more people to field squads. It should be a fun day, and we’ll put together a few training classes over the next few weeks to practice orienteering and cycling.

Post to the facebook comments if you are in. Or talk to George in class sometime this week. Registration closes on September 2nd.
