"A Little Dose of Encouragment" – By Jen Hurst

May I encourage you for a minute?

Many of us have goals that may sometimes feel completely out of reach. There are times in our lives when we get discouraged and want to give up. We’ve all been there, we’ve all given up on something at some point, but what separates us from the quitters is that we start again. I want to encourage you all to not strive for perfection, but to strive for progress; daily. If you have an off day, don’t be discouraged. It’s okay to have bad days, and it’s okay to have cheat days. Bad days, cheat days, rest days, they all have one thing in common; they give you the opportunity to start fresh again.

The variety, as brilliant as it is for our fitness regime, can become overwhelming and it is easy to get caught up in trying to improve everything at once. I want to challenge you to narrow your focus down to one specific goal. Let the programming do it’s job, but remain focused on one goal and work diligently to achieve it. Your confidence will rise and your achievements will encourage you as you continue this lifestyle. That is progress.
